Hog Roast Wicken for a Battle of the Bands Competition!

It was drumsticks at dawn last Saturday when Hog Roast Wicken were asked to provide one of our crowd-pleasing outdoor buffets for a local battle of the bands competition! The event organisers picked us over other catering companies because not only can we provide high quality, value of money food for a lot a people, we can also manage to make sure everyone goes home happy and well-fed, even if we are inundated with a lot more diners than anticipated! With events of this nature, last minute ticket sales and people just turning up on the day hoping to be granted entry, it is impossible to predict how many people…

Hog Roast Wicken for a Ladies’ Night at the Golf Club

More and more golf clubs these days are trying to move with the times and shake off their image of exclusivity and ‘gentlemen only’ by encouraging more women to join up. This was certainly the aim of the golf club who hired Hog Roast Wicken recently to provide the food for a ladies’ night at the club. Their plan was to attract more females to the club with a free golf lesson, followed by complimentary bubbly and a sophisticated spread. The club manager was impressed with our ability to provide such a high-class menu and prepare everything fresh on-site. He was pleasantly surprised at the extent of our options and…

Hog Roast Soham for a Pop Up Theatre!

The Hog Roast Soham team met some like-minded people last Saturday when a pop up theatre group asked us to provide some top-notch outdoor grub for the after party of their first show of the season! In the same way we get out and about to bring high quality food to people in any location imaginable, this group of mobile thespians bring all the culture and ambience of a tradition indoor theatre into the great outdoors! With this in mind, we were their first and only choice to do the catering, after all, who else could provide restaurant standard food in the middle of a field following an al fresco…

Hog Roast Ramsey caters for a new Sculpture Park

The Hog Roast Ramsey team had the pleasure of seeing art and nature working in harmony recently when we were asked by the managers of a local sculpture park to provide an outdoor hog roast buffet to promote one of their new exhibits! The exhibit in question was a family friendly art adventure trail, with innovative sculptures made entirely from natural resources that blended with the surrounding landscape. These sculptures weren’t just meant to be admired from afar though; they were designed to be interacted with and climbed on, giving their younger visitors (and the bigger kids!) the opportunity to get interested in art made from sustainable materials in a…

Hog Roast Buckden for a New Organic Food Shop

The Hog Roast Buckden team had the opportunity to showcase our high quality, locally-sourced ingredients recently whilst we were catering for the launch party of a new organic food shop! The excited owners of the new store, Sean and Judy, approached us for exactly that reason-they wanted a catering company who were as passionate about fresh, regional ingredients as they were and felt we were the only caterers in the area who shared their ethos completely! We were happy to go into detail about where we source our ingredients and how discerning we are when it comes to selecting only the very best produce the local area has to offer.…

A Day At The Races for Hog Roast March

It was a day at the races for a small country town called March and Hog Roast March couldn’t wait to attend. They were holding their annual charity horse race and it was a popular event with locals as well as people from far and wide attending. It was just like a day at ascot, the ladies dressed up in their finest and gents in suits made it all more authentic. It was a fantastic day out for all the family. There was a small fun fair for the little ones and side stalls doing the usual show stalls for fun. There were 9 races altogether with various jumps along…

    Hog Roast Buckworth

This week we have seen nothing but rain, no sight of spring yet. We headed out midweek in the rain to a corporate event and we were catering outdoors. With us we brought our huge watertight gazebo and as soon as we arrived within minutes the gazebo was erected. We set out our huge table and machine and it was time to do our Hog Roast Buckworth magic! Spit roasted chickens and beef were the order of the day and we placed the meats onto the machines and watched the rain pour down whilst being nice and dry we love our gazebo! Then it was time to make the sides we…

Hog Roast St Day For A Folk Festival

It’s great when we get the opportunity to get back to our roots and cater for an event that truly captures the traditional essence of hog roast cooking, which is exactly what we did last weekend when we had the privilege of providing the food for a local folk festival. The organisers of the event wanted Hog Roast St Day to play a prominent role in the proceedings, as they felt that one of our outdoor feasts would be the ideal culinary companion to the other local traditions being celebrated that day. We whole-heartedly agreed with them that burgers and hot dogs just weren’t going to do it! Indeed, with our…

Hog Roast Little Ouse – Penthouse Party

Moving into a new place is always exciting, especially so when you’ve bagged yourself a swanky penthouse pad with your own private roof terrace occupying the whole space at the top of the building! This is exactly the kind of place lucky couple Dominic and Lauren have just moved into and they couldn’t wait to throw a party to show it off to all their friends and make them green with envy! They were both quite adamant they didn’t want the stress of doing the catering themselves, and just wanted to concentrate on keeping the drinks flowing, admiring the view from their chic city centre apartment, and having a good…

Hog Roast Murrow – Engagement Party

The last thing you probably want to be doing at your own event or party is spending time in the kitchen preparing and cooking the food and then serving it yourself, too. Never mind the clean-up process afterwards! This is all something that a caterer such as Hog Roast Murrow can take off your hands so that you can spend more times with your guests and less time slaving away in the kitchen. When you’re planning a private party for a special occasion, be it a wedding, a meal after a christening or a birthday celebration, the food part of it is a big chunk of the decision process and it…
