Sunday morning we were up bright and earlywith Hog Roast Willingham to cater for a birthday party. We had catered for the clients previously on several occasions and they love any excuse to hold a “Hog Roast Willingham party!”. We arrived early morning and Joel met us and chatted about how excited she was as she had friends travelling all over the country and she was super excited for them to taste our food as she said she has gone on and on about us for months!
The first job was to place the pig on the machine the pig was nice and plumb and from our first class suppliers. As the pig began to cook we set up our prep table and then began to prepare the side dishes. We prepared a tomato and mozzarella salad with a crunchy green salad and a batch of our super creamy coleslaw. Then it was onto preparing the potatoes we chopped and seasoned the potatoes and then placed them on the machine to roast these are always a crowd pleaser. We covered the tables with dips and dressings and our super soft bread buns that we baked fresh that morning before we left. As the pork was just about cooked we then prepared the skin to make crackling. We scored the skin then sprinkled hand full’s of rock salt into the skin this ensures the crackling is cooked to utter perfection. As the guests arrived Joel came over with his friends and they were intrigued. The said that the Hog Roast Willingham food looked amazing and stood and stared with interest as our chef removed the skin and chopped the cracking into slices then he sliced the pork into thick slices the pork so moist and succulent and everyone helped them selves to the meat and sides and Joel said that again we had did him proud! We love to cater for regulars and never ever tire of hearing good feedback. A lovely day was had by all and as we headed home we were receiving calls for the week ahead we literally never stop and that is the way we like it.
