Hog Roast March for a Local Wedding Fair!

The Hog Roast March team recently had the pleasure of catering for the attendees of a busy wedding fair, which was crammed with married couples to be all in need of some great freshly made food as they perused the stalls looking for inspiration. As well as doing an excellent job of keeping everyone well-fed, it also gave us the opportunity to showcase our food and let everyone know about our great range of wedding menus!

Hog Roast MarchWe have come across lots of people who think that a hog roast isn’t refined enough for an occasion as special as a wedding reception, but they always change their mind after they have tried our food, and this event was no exception! We were asked to provide some of our classic slow-roasted pork sandwiches served with our irresistibly crunchy crackling and sweet, homemade apple sauce for a large crowd and we certainly didn’t disappoint!

Because we are committed to cooking everything from scratch on the day regardless of how many people we are catering for, we arrived early in the morning as usual, to allow enough time for us to give our ethically-reared pork the time it needed to ensure it was falling off the bone before all of the future brides and grooms arrived! As always, whenever we are catering for an event where there are also a lot of other stallholders, we got our sleeves rolled up and got on with doing our bit, without getting in anyone else’s way.

When the doors opened, the hall was soon swarming with people, many of whom made a beeline for Hog Roast March’s serving table! We love the buzz of a busy environment and our quick-witted catering assistants had a great time providing everyone with our superior, freshly cooked pork!

It was a very successful event, with many couples going away feeling a lot more clued up about their wedding arrangements than they had been when they arrived. For us though, the best thing of all was, after sampling some of Hog Roast March’s succulent slow-roasted pork, many of them also went away thinking a hog roast wedding reception would be a very good idea indeed!
