Hog Roast Risby has been in the catering business for a long time now, so we understand just how much time, and effort goes into planning any event. This is why we have worked hard to make sure that our booking process is both fast and straightforward for our clients, freeing up their time to focus on the more enjoyable things in life – such as daydreaming about our exquisite menus!
With us in their corner, our clients can have the peace of mind that their events (no matter how big or small) are in good hands, and that’s exactly what sisters Alicia and Cheryl were looking for when they first got in touch with us to organise their very special celebration.
Since their children are only a few weeks apart in age, these close-knit siblings came up with the idea of planning a double Christening for their little one’s. But being rushed off their feet with the endless duties that come hand in hand with being new parents, these two were in desperate need of someone else to handle the stressful task of feeding the 80 guests who had been invited to celebrate the monumental day.
Eager to give the new mums the best afternoon possible, Hog Roast Risby recommended our extremely popular, private party menu 3, which tied in perfectly with Alicia and Cheryl’s informal celebration. From the extensive list of dishes on offer, the pair agreed on a main course of spit-roasted chicken served with chipolata sausage, stuffing and homemade onion gravy, as well as grilled vegetable skewers with optional halloumi, tzatziki dip and flatbreads for any non-meat-eaters in attendance. To make the meal even more inclusive, side options of warm new potatoes in herb butter, bread rolls and fresh and crunchy salads were also available for the guests to enjoy.
By the time Alicia, Cheryl and the guests made their way home from church, Hog Roast Risby had successfully set out the tables and chairs and whipped up the irresistible spread. The food proved to be an immediate hit with everyone who had arrived, with many returning to the buffet table for third and fourth helpings as the day went on!
