Hog Roast Cambridge Providing The Menu Of Your Dreams
Hog Roast Cambridge recently had the pleasure of catering Joe and Alexa’s engagement party locally. While we can also cater informal occasions, this would be a formal garden party with canapés and drinks offered to the seventy guests on arrival, followed by a plated starter, buffet-style hog roast and then coffee and mints served later on.
We can provide so much more than just hog roasts, though they are our renowned speciality dish, and for many years now we’ve been serving all kinds of menus to our customers and their guests. Whether you need multiple courses, additional sides or alternative dishes served, we always go the extra mile to ensure that your wants and needs are met and we’re not satisfied until you are. Our professional, hard-working chefs and catering assistants work their magic to help create the menu of your dreams, and for Joe and Alexa, we spoke with them a few weeks before their party to do just that.
In terms of our handmade Hog Roast Cambridge canapés, we have plenty of options, and a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian ones are available. For this event, we were asked to make six in total, fresh on the day as we always do, including dim sum, mini quiches, chicken satay, smoked salmon, feta skewers and mini burgers, which our waiters would serve alongside glasses of champagne, orange juice and sparkling water. Once everyone was seated, they would be treated to fresh, homemade vegetable soup with crusty bread rolls, and then shortly afterwards, we would carve the hog and serve pigs in buns until everyone was satisfied.
On the day of the party, our Hog Roast Cambridge team headed to the lovely hotel grounds where we set up our equipment next to the marquee. Our chef prepared the meat and then roasted it for several hours while watching over it, and then later on, we prepared the rest of the food that needed cooking. Nearer to the time of service, our waiters handed out the refreshments and canapés while our catering team prepared and served the starter and got ready to make plenty of yummy pigs in buns.
By the end of the day, after serving the satisfied couple and their guests lots of lovely food, they relaxed with coffee and mints and we quietly cleared away and left them to enjoy their special occasion.
