This week we have seen nothing but rain, no sight of spring yet. We headed out midweek in the rain to a corporate event and we were catering outdoors. With us we brought our huge watertight gazebo and as soon as we arrived within minutes the gazebo was erected. We set out our huge table and machine and it was time to do our Hog Roast Buckworth magic!
Spit roasted chickens and beef were the order of the day and we placed the meats onto the machines and watched the rain pour down whilst being nice and dry we love our gazebo! Then it was time to make the sides we sliced a mountain of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, red cabbage and celery then made a lovely dressing for the salads. We placed some sweetcorn on skewers and made some vegetable skewers using mushrooms, red peppers, courgette and tomatoes lovely and colourful and so pleasant to eat. We made a large pot of stuffing and the smell was amazing we make all our food fresh on site using only the finest ingredients. We filled the table with some dips and buns and just as we finished cooking the rain as if by magic stopped!
We opened the doorway of the gazebo to welcome the guests who had just been sitting for the past two hours listening to a speech they said they were famished and more than ready for the Hog Roast Buckworth! We removed the chicken and sliced up the beef the meat was so plump and moist and was gladly welcomed by all, the guests were all quiet as they ate to say they were hungry was an understatement. We handed out the sides and the guests were filling up their plates all chatting happily away and asking us a million and one questions one in particular asking how the food tasted so good! We had to let them into a secret and tell them our machines must take some of the credit as they are worth their weight in gold! A lovely day was had by all rain will never stop us catering even outdoors and to be honest we love cooking in the rain!
