Easy to put together, simple enough to cook and serve, open to all kinds of customisations, and just the perfect kind of comfort food you want on a colder event day in Ely. But everyone has their favourite kinds of roll, so we at Hog Roast Ely simply want to ask: what is yours?
With our menus there are many different options for what you could enjoy in your filled roll or wrap. Our signature hog roast is an excellent start, for one. We roast it fresh that day and pull the pork straight from the finished hog while it still sits on the roaster and pile up your roll as high as you want. A good bit of teeming hot, fresh pulled pork is perfect on a winter’s day, and you can add plenty more to add further tastes or textures. Our crispy crackling is an excellent addition to a pulled pork roll, for example, as it comes fresh off the finished hog roast just as the pork does, and adds that extra bit of crisp roast texturing that we all love. In a similar vein, we also have our very own homemade stuffing that goes perfectly with the pork, along with our own apple sauce, or any one of our smoky and spice Sauce Shop sauces.
But maybe it’s not pulled pork you’re after, but rather our perfect substitute in our BBQ pulled jackfruit. This is an excellent replication of our signature dish, only it is veggie and vegan friendly. It’s packed with just as much flavour as we marinate it for hours, and couples nicely with our sage and onion stuffing and sauces, too.
