It might not be immediately clear with the current gale winds and cold temperatures of Storm Otto blowing through the country, but Spring once again looms on the horizon, and as the weather begins to hopefully pick up and the days brighten again outdoor events can once again be a lucrative prospect with Hog Roast Great Shelford’s catering!

Of course, as a primarily roast catering specialist outdoor events are possible for these wintery months too, as our comforting roast dining and our fiery spits help to warm up the occasion. When you’re being served fresh from our roasting machines too our foods will certainly come piping hot too to help keep these outdoor occasions even warmer.

But now as the days brighten up in the spring our roast foods don’t quite have to do as much heavy lifting to warm the occasion. Instead, it might be worth looking to our barbecue menus for that warm summery feeling at your events, or too our alfresco menus inspired by the tastes of the Mediterranean – we might not quite have their weather, but we can at least all pretend by enjoying their light and fresh foods! Hog Roast Great Shelford are specialists of outdoor dining as much as we are specialists of indoor dining. We are well equipped to be able to serve in or out, in rain, sun or snow – though we’ll take the sun 9 times out of 10! Our roasts can be cooked indoors or out thanks to our mobile roasting machines, and the same goes for barbecues and the like as our many machine attachments allow us to be versatile to different cooking styles.

And though we may not always quite be blessed with clear weather in the UK, for outdoor events if you hire a marquee tent then the dining experience doesn’t have to be interrupted either way. It’s always worth a consideration if you are thinking of having an outdoor event to go for the marquee tent anyway, regardless of what the weather conditions are expected to be. We’ll still cook and serve our delicious roasts all the same!
